The short answer is:
Disabling Auto Nurture does not remove a Contact from the Nurtured tab or status or stop all active alerts. Each alert type is managed independently, and Archiving is the action that stops a Contact from receiving any further notifications.
Understanding 'Nurtured' Status & why contacts remain nurtured after you disable Auto Nurture
'Nurtured' means the contact has interacted with RealScout at some point, has received alerts, has had Auto Nurture enabled, or has engaged with the platform. This status persists even after you disable Auto Nurture because it tracks engagement history rather than current activity.
Pro Tip: Archive Contacts to turn off all alerts and move them to your Archive tab (alerts and history are preserved).
Why are contacts still receiving notifications?
Check for other active alerts. Even if Auto Nurture is disabled, contacts might still receive:
Home Value Alerts — managed separately and not disabled when Auto Nurture
Interested Homes — This alert is for Price/Status changes for homes your contact marks as "Interested," set up independently of Auto Nurture
Listing Alerts — set up independently of Auto Nurture
Market Activity Alerts — also managed independently
⏱️ TO STOP ALL NOTIFICATIONS: Archive the contact.
Archiving turns off all alerts, moves the contact to your Archive tab, and removes them from your Nurtured contacts count—while preserving their history and record.
Quick troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
Contact still marked 'nurtured' | This is normal. Archive the contact if you want them inactive. |
Contact is still getting alerts | Disable all active alert types on their profile. |
Want to reactivate later? | Unarchiving restores their alerts and history. |
Steps to Stop All Notifications for a Contact
Steps to Stop All Notifications for a Contact
Option 1: Disable all alerts individually
Open the Contact's profile in Contacts.
Review the active alerts section and disable each alert type: Listing Alerts, Home Value Alerts, and Market Activity Alerts.
Confirm no additional alert types remain active.
Option 2: Archive the Contact (recommended)
Open the Contact's profile.
Click the three-dot menu and select Archive.
Archiving turns off all alerts and moves the Contact to your Archive tab. Their alert history, email activity, and Scout Score are preserved, and you can reactivate them at any time. It is the preferred action for Contacts you are no longer actively working with, because it clears their nurtured capacity without losing their history.
