Home Value Alerts keep your homeowner contacts engaged with automated monthly market updates for their property, branded with your name and contact information.
What a Home Value Alert Sends
Each Home Value Alert email includes:
Recent comparable sales and active listings near the contact's property
An estimated home value range from a third-party valuation provider
Your branding, photo, and a direct reply link so the contact can reach you
A prompt for the contact to rate their interest in selling
Home Value Alerts send monthly by default. You can change the frequency from your Home Value Alert Settings page.
How to Create a Home Value Alert
Create Home Value Alerts in bulk. If you have Contacts with a property address in RealScout, open your Home Value Alerts dashboard. A banner shows how many Home Value Alerts are available to be automatically created. You have three options:
view the list in the banner. This opens the Quick Create page, where you select Contacts individually or all at once and click Create N alert(s).
Import List: mass create Home Value Alerts for a group of clients.
Auto Nurture: turn it on and RealScout creates them for you. The banner is hidden while Auto Nurture is on. See Auto Nurture Overview & Settings.
Option 1: Create from the Home Value Alerts Dashboard
Go to Home Value Alerts.
Click Create New Alert.
Search for and select the contact.
Enter their property address.
Click Create Home Value Alert.
The alert is scheduled to send the following day. If you need to send it immediately, use the Send Now option.
Option 2: Import a homeowner list
Go to Home Value Alerts.
Click Import List.
Download the import template, fill in contact names, emails, and property addresses, and upload it.
RealScout creates one Home Value Alert per row with a valid address.
Option 3: Quick Create from the banner
Use this for Contacts who are already in RealScout and have an address on their profile.
Go to Home Value Alerts.
In the banner, click view the list. This opens Quick Create Home Value Alerts, a list of your Contacts with their first name, last name, email, and address. The addresses come from the addresses associated with your Contacts in RealScout.
Select Contacts one at a time, or select the checkbox in the header row to select all of them.
Click Create N alert(s), where N is the number you selected.
Viewing the list does not create any alerts. Alerts are created only when you click the create button, and they are created according to your Home Value Alert settings.
Option 4: Let Auto Nurture create them automatically
Auto Nurture creates a Home Value Alert for any contact whose profile includes a property address and who has no active alerts. No manual action is needed per contact. See Auto Nurture Overview for setup.
Monitoring Your Home Value Alerts
Your Home Value Alerts Dashboard shows emails delivered, emails opened, and dashboard views for each alert. Click any property address on the dashboard to see detailed activity for that contact.
When a contact clicks Request Valuation Estimate, you receive a notification email and the request appears in your Recent Client Conversations.
When a contact clicks the cash offer button on their Home Value Alert, RealScout applies the RealScout HVA Cash Offer Requested tag to the contact and sends you an in-app message and an email notification immediately. You can manage this tag from your Tag Automations page.
Capturing New Seller Leads
Your What's My Home Worth page lets anyone enter their home address to receive a Home Value Alert. When they do, RealScout adds them as a new contact with their address on file and creates the alert automatically. Visitors can also optionally submit their name and phone number, providing additional contact details for follow-up. You will receive a notification whenever a new lead is captured through this page.
To find your capture link:
Go to Home Value Alerts.
Click Capture Leads: What's My Home Worth?.
Copy the link and share it via email, text, social media, or QR code. For additional promotional options, explore the "Market My RealScout" section in your account. If you have your own website, you can embed RealScout widgets to integrate the "What’s My Home Worth?" functionality alongside your content. Note that the message on the landing page cannot be customized, and external links cannot be added. However, you can include links to your social media profiles or website in your RealScout profile. The link is tied to your agent subdomain and remains permanent, making it reusable across various platforms. Additionally, sharing the link on social media generates a clean preview card for better engagement.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the valuation provider can't find a value for the property?
If RealScout's valuation partner cannot return an estimate for the address, the contact receives a Market Activity Alert based on the property's zip code instead. See What If Home Value Alerts Can't Find a Valuation? for more detail.
How often are Home Value Alerts sent?
Monthly by default. You can adjust the frequency from your Home Value Alert Settings page.
Does disabling Market Activity Alerts affect Home Value Alerts?
No. Home Value Alerts and Market Activity Alerts run independently. Changes to one do not affect the other.
Can I preview what the email looks like before it sends?
Yes. From your Home Value Alerts Dashboard, click any property address in the Address column to open an email preview.
I enabled "Skip Home Value Alerts" in Auto Nurture, but a contact is still receiving Home Value Alerts. Why?
The Skip Home Value Alerts toggle prevents Auto Nurture from creating new Home Value Alerts going forward. It does not remove or pause Home Value Alerts that already exist. If a contact is still receiving one, the alert was created before you enabled the toggle. To stop it, go to Home Value Alerts and delete the alert individually.
