How It Works
Your agent creates a RealScout account on your behalf and connects it to live MLS data. You receive a listing alert email directly from your agent. Clicking any listing in that email logs you into your RealScout account automatically, where your matches and search tools are ready to use.
Your activity in RealScout, including which listings you mark as Interested or Not Interested and how you rate properties, is visible to your agent. This helps them refine their recommendations and understand what you are looking for.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access Your Account
Open the listing alert email sent by your agent.
Click directly on any listing in the email.
You will be logged into your RealScout account automatically. No separate login step is required on first access.
Step 2: Browse Listing Photos by Room
Open any listing and click directly on the photos.
Photos are organized by room, including kitchen, living room, bathroom, and exterior.
Browsing by room lets you evaluate the spaces that matter most to you without scrolling through all photos at once.
Step 3: React to Listings
On any listing, use the Interested or Not Interested option to record your reaction.
Use the star rating to give the listing a more detailed score.
Both your reaction and rating are visible to your agent and help surface better matches over time.
Step 4: Navigate the Left-Side Menu
The left-side panel gives you quick access to your core search tools:
Search tab: Create your own custom property searches based on your criteria.
Matches tab: View all listings that match your agent's saved search parameters for you.
Interested tab: Quickly locate any listings you have previously marked as Interested.
To view matches for a specific search, click directly on the search name. You can also change how listings are displayed to suit your preference.
Step 5: Message Your Agent
Use the messaging feature within RealScout to send your agent feedback or questions at any time.
All messages between you and your agent are stored in one place within the platform.
You can attach a specific listing to a message to make it easy for your agent to know exactly which property you are referencing.
Your agent's email address and phone number are always available in the bottom left corner of your RealScout account.
Common Questions and Edge Cases
Do I need to create a password to log in the first time?
No. Clicking any listing in your alert email logs you in automatically. [Assumption: subsequent logins may require a password or email-based authentication depending on your account setup.]
Can I create my own searches, or does my agent control all searches?
You can create your own searches using the Search tab in the left-side menu. Your agent's saved searches appear separately under the Matches tab.
Can I change how listings are displayed?
Yes. You can adjust the view format for your matches to suit your browsing preference directly from the matches view.
Will my agent see my ratings and reactions?
Yes. Your Interested, Not Interested, and star ratings are visible to your agent. This is intentional and helps them tailor their recommendations to your preferences.
How do I contact my agent outside of the messaging tool?
Your agent's email and phone number are always visible in the bottom left corner of your RealScout account.
Troubleshooting
