What does "Request a Data Feed" mean?

Explains what the "Request a Data Feed" button and "No MLS Data Feed Assigned" message mean, and how to submit your MLS membership details to get connected.

"Request a Data Feed" is the button you'll see if your RealScout account isn't connected to an MLS data feed yet. Here's what it means and how to get connected.

Why you're seeing this

If you or your brokerage created the account, your MLS membership may not be linked yet. This is normal and usually the last step in onboarding. Without a connected feed, you can't create Listing Alerts or search for listings.

You might see this as a No MLS Data Feed Assigned message on your Dashboard, or as a Request a Data Feed button. It usually means:

  • Your MLS membership hasn't been linked to your account yet

  • Your account type, or a brokerage/team agreement, restricts which feeds are available to you

How to request access

Click Request a Data Feed and answer the questions that follow.
Questions may be the following:

  1. Your first and last name (as it appears on your MLS)

  2. Your MLS membership name (examples: Bright MLS, TRIAD MLS, SANDICOR)

  3. Your MLS ID number, if you have one

  4. Your managing broker's full name and email

Don't know your MLS membership name? Send us the URL you use to list properties. Our MLS Administration team can confirm it for you.

For a full step-by-step video walkthrough with screenshots of submitting the request and confirming access, see Data Feed Request.
