The Cloze + RealScout integration syncs contacts and activity between both platforms so you can manage engagement, follow-up, and automations without switching back and forth.

What Syncs Between RealScout and Cloze
The integration is bidirectional. Each platform contributes different data:
RealScout sends client activity into Cloze so you can see engagement signals in the Cloze contact timeline.
Cloze sends contact and buyer profile details into RealScout so RealScout can create alerts and run Auto Nurture based on what you store in Cloze.
Direction | What syncs | What you use it for |
RealScout → Cloze | Listing activity (views, saves), email alert activity (opens, clicks), RealScout messages | Build Cloze automations, tasks, and follow-up sequences using real engagement signals |
Cloze → RealScout | Contacts (name, email, phone, postal address), buyer profile details, Cloze tags | Power Auto Nurture, Listing Alerts, and contact management in RealScout |
Note: Tags sync from Cloze into RealScout. Tags are spelling-sensitive but NOT case-sensitive — a single extra character or space breaks automation silently; capitalization does not. The default import tag is RealScout and cannot be removed. Any additional tags you add in Cloze integration settings will also sync.
View RealScout Engagement Inside Cloze
After connecting, RealScout sends engagement events into the Cloze contact timeline, including:
Viewed listings
Saved listings
Email alert activity (Listing Alerts, Market Activity Alerts, Home Value Alerts)
Email opens and clicks
Messages sent from RealScout
Use these signals in Cloze to trigger follow-up tasks, automations, or reminders without logging into RealScout for every action.
Tip: When a listing event appears in the Cloze timeline, use the RealScout link from that event to open the property and review MLS details or agent remarks.
Use Cloze Data to Power Auto Nurture in RealScout
When Cloze sends contact details into RealScout, Auto Nurture uses that data to create alerts automatically. At minimum, RealScout needs these fields from the Cloze buyer profile to generate a Listing Alert:
Location
Price range (minimum and maximum, or at minimum a max price)
Note: If a contact has only an email address and no buyer profile or home address in Cloze, Auto Nurture defaults to an email campaign to prompt the contact to share their search criteria.
Cloze is the source of truth for contact fields. Updates made in Cloze (name, email, address, buyer profile) sync into RealScout automatically.
Get Started
Sign in to both your Cloze account and your RealScout account in the same browser. This reduces login prompts during authorization.
In RealScout, go to Integrations, find Cloze, and click Connect Cloze Account.
Approve the permissions request in Cloze to complete the connection.
Review your Contact Import Settings to confirm whether RealScout will import all contacts or only tagged contacts.
Important: If you select "import all contacts," the action is difficult to reverse. Use tag-based importing if you want more control over which contacts enter RealScout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I update contact information?
Update contact fields (name, email, phone, address, buyer profile) in Cloze. Cloze is the source of truth for this integration — changes in Cloze sync into RealScout automatically.
What RealScout activity appears in the Cloze timeline?
RealScout sends listing views, saves, email alert activity (opens and clicks for Listing Alerts, Market Activity Alerts, and Home Value Alerts), and RealScout in-app messages into the Cloze contact timeline.
Do Cloze tags sync into RealScout?
Yes. Tags sync from Cloze into RealScout when you use the native Cloze + RealScout integration. The default tag is RealScout. You can add more tags or switch to import all contacts from your integration settings. Tags are spelling-sensitive but NOT case-sensitive — spelling must match exactly, including no extra spaces.
Why do I see #realscout in Cloze instead of RealScout?
Cloze prefixes tags with # in its interface, but the underlying tag value is the same. RealScout reads the tag value without the hash symbol, so #realscout in Cloze matches RealScout in RealScout for sync and automation purposes.
Does this integration replace setup work inside RealScout?
No. The integration keeps your contact data aligned between platforms, but you still set up Templates, configure Auto Nurture settings, and manage Listing Alerts directly in RealScout. Cloze data powers those automations — it does not configure them for you.
Does tag-based Template automation work through the Cloze integration?
Yes. Because tags sync from Cloze into RealScout, you can build Templates in RealScout with a matching tag, then apply that tag to a contact in Cloze. RealScout assigns the Template's Listing Alert to the contact within one hour. This makes Cloze your command center for alert assignment without manually creating alerts in RealScout.
