Make all contact edits, imports, and ownership changes in Follow Up Boss — those updates sync into RealScout. To reassign a client, update their assigned agent in Follow Up Boss and the integration syncs the change to RealScout automatically.
What syncs from RealScout into Follow Up Boss
After integration, RealScout engagement activity appears directly inside the Follow Up Boss contact record in three places.
1. Recent Activity (right side of contact). See when a contact saves a property, views a listing, or views their Home Value Alert or Market Activity Alert dashboard — so you can react without logging into RealScout first. For deeper listing details, click the property link to open RealScout for full listing data and private remarks.
2. Engagement Notes (center section). RealScout creates notes in Follow Up Boss when a client sends a message inside RealScout, suggests showing dates, or views a property multiple times. If a contact views a listing three or more times, a note is created so you can prioritize outreach — third-view activity is often a strong buying signal, so consider triggering an action plan.
RealScout messages can sync as either notes or actual messages in Follow Up Boss, depending on your Inbox Apps configuration. The Inbox Apps feature lets RealScout messages appear directly in your Follow Up Boss inbox: when enabled, messages sync as messages rather than notes, giving you a more actionable view of client interactions.
3. Custom Fields (left side of contact). The integration creates RealScout custom fields in Follow Up Boss, including the number of Listing Alerts, Market Activity Alerts, and Home Value Alerts, plus the RealScout alert link — which drops you directly into that contact's alert management page in RealScout to edit search criteria, add advanced filters, or adjust alert schedules.

When a contact views their Home Value Alert dashboard, RealScout applies a tag in Follow Up Boss. Use it to build Smart Lists, trigger seller follow-up action plans, and identify warm listing opportunities — especially valuable for past buyers and homeowner segments.
How Auto Nurture interacts with Follow Up Boss
If Auto Nurture is on in RealScout, new contacts may automatically receive a Listing Alert based on their profile, contacts with an address may receive a Home Value Alert, and engagement behavior generates activity inside Follow Up Boss. For example: a contact comes into Follow Up Boss from Zillow, they viewed a specific property, and Auto Nurture is enabled — RealScout may create a Listing Alert automatically.
Important: Auto Nurture behavior depends on your configuration. Review your settings before scaling.
Using Smart Lists with RealScout data
Create Smart Lists based on Home Value Alert views, number of alerts assigned, the RealScout alert link presence, website last activity, and listing engagement signals. Examples: sellers who viewed their Home Value Alert in the last 7 days, contacts with 3+ property views, contacts with active Listing Alerts, contacts with zero alerts assigned. Use these lists to trigger call plans, assign action plans, and prioritize your pipeline.
