How to Create RealScout Contacts from Curb Hero Open House Sign-Ins

Use Zapier to automatically enroll Curb Hero open house visitors as RealScout Contacts so they receive Listing Alerts and Auto Nurture content without manual data entry.

Curb Hero is a free digital open house sign-in app. This Zap sends every visitor directly into RealScout as a Contact — so they start receiving Listing Alerts and Auto Nurture content within minutes, without any manual data entry on your end.

Who this is for

Agents who use Curb Hero for open house sign-ins and want visitors automatically enrolled in RealScout. This works whether or not you have a CRM connected to RealScout.

Open house contacts are warm but decay fast. Most agents collect sign-ins and manually enter them into their systems days later — or never. This Zap eliminates that gap: visitor signs in on Curb Hero, contact is created in RealScout within minutes, and if Auto Nurture is enabled, the nurture sequence starts the same day.

Build the Zap

  1. Log in to Zapier and click Create Zap.

  2. Set the Trigger app to Curb Hero, event New Lead.

  3. Connect your Curb Hero account and click Test Trigger to load a sample sign-in.

  4. Set the Action app to RealScout, event Create Client.

  5. Connect your RealScout account and map the fields as shown below.

  6. Click Test Action to create a test Contact in RealScout.

  7. Open Contacts in RealScout and confirm the test Contact appears.

  8. Return to Zapier and click Publish.

Enable Auto Nurture before running this Zap at open houses. New Contacts arrive in Awaiting Nurture status. With a fallback Template configured, each sign-in enters the nurture sequence automatically — Day 1: Welcome, Day 5: Popular Homes, Day 10: Home Worth, then monthly. Without it, Contacts sit idle until you manually assign a Listing Alert.

Add a CRM step (optional)

If you use Follow Up Boss or another CRM, add a second action after the RealScout step to create the Contact in both systems from a single sign-in.

  1. Click + after the RealScout action.

  2. Set the action to your CRM, event Create or Update Contact.

  3. Map email, name, and phone from the Curb Hero trigger data.

  4. Add a tag such as Open House Lead or Curb Hero to the CRM Contact.

This creates the Contact in RealScout for alerts and in your CRM for follow-up management — one Zap, two destinations.

Things to know

  • Duplicate Contacts: RealScout's Zapier Create Client action does not check for existing Contacts by email. Repeat visitors at future open houses will create a duplicate Contact. Archive the duplicate in RealScout after the fact, or add a Zapier lookup step before Create Client to check first.

  • Fake emails: Curb Hero has built-in email verification that catches most invalid addresses. Correctly formatted but fake emails pass through, create a Contact, and then appear on your email errors page in RealScout Settings when alerts fail to deliver.

  • Multiple open houses same day: The Zap fires for every new Curb Hero lead regardless of which listing or event it came from. All sign-ins across all your open houses create individual RealScout Contacts.

  • Open house source: Curb Hero passes the listing address and event name in the trigger data. Map this to the Lead Source field in RealScout so you can see which open house each Contact came from.
