Using Squarespace? Below are tips on what to copy from RealScout over to Squarespace, no matter which Widget you chose!
Your Website Widgets are available on your Marketing tab on the left navigation bar.
Next, click on Widgets. Choose from the following Website Widgets for your site: Simple Search, Advanced Search, Your Listings, Office Listing, or Home Value.
Step 1: Customize your widget settings.
Steps 2 & 3: You'll see two code snippets. Squarespace uses a single Code Block within the visual editor. Squarespace doesn't require the RealScout codes to be separated, so you can copy both and paste them into a single Code Block in your page editor. Don't worry about the <head> section RealScout mentions; paste everything together in one block, and your widget will work perfectly. This ensures your widget displays and functions correctly.
Pro Tip When Viewing On Squarespace:
While you are setting up the widget in your block, Squarespace prevents external previews from displaying, so the widget may appear blank in edit mode. Save, then preview the page to confirm it's working as expected.
Refer to this Squarespace support article to learn more about the several other ways to use their Code Injection features: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815908-Using-Code-Injection.
