When an agent sends a hand-picked alert with a personalized message to a contact, RealScout does not automatically send copies to the agent or other team members. This is intentional: hand-picked alerts function similarly to direct messages and are only delivered to the intended recipient.
Hand-picked alerts are private by design. They are not copied to the sending agent. To track what was sent, use the contact's Email Activity tab — that is the only record of hand-picked listings.
What you DO receive copies of
Automatic alerts — Daily, weekly, or ASAP scheduled alerts set up for contacts.
Emails to secondary/tertiary contacts — If your staff account is listed as an additional contact on a contact's profile.
What you DON'T receive copies of
Hand-picked listings — Properties manually selected and sent with personalized messages.
One-time personalized alerts — Individual property recommendations sent directly to contacts.
Track hand-picked messages sent by your team
Method 1: View in Email Activity tab
Open the contact's profile in RealScout.
Navigate to the Email Activity tab.
Review recent messages in preview form by opening them. For a full walkthrough of the Contact Overview page and its tabs, see Contact Overview.
Method 2: Share message URLs for team coordination
Go to the Email Activity tab after sending hand-picked alerts.
Right-click and open the recently-sent message.
Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
Email the URL to your team member(s) for their records.
Example URL format:https://yourteam.realscout.com/agent/users/[USER_ID]/homebuyer_actions/[ACTION_ID]
Optional: Print the message as a PDF for a durable record.
Notes on activity logging
When you send listings to a contact in RealScout, the activity is logged exclusively under the contact's profile in the Email Activity tab. It will not appear in the Messages folder or the Recent Activity section.
Messages sent through the RealScout messenger do not appear in the contact's Email Activity tab. This distinction separates direct messages from email activity logs.
Feature request status. Automatically sending agent copies of hand-picked alerts is under consideration but not currently available.
