When RealScout connects to Follow Up Boss, contact actions are automatically logged and tagged in Follow Up Boss. Turn those tags into Smart Lists to prioritize high-intent and hand-raising activity without checking RealScout manually.

Smart Lists are dynamic. They reflect the current state of tags on each contact. When a tag is applied, the contact enters the list. When a tag is removed, they drop off automatically — and re-enter on their next qualifying action.


How RealScout activity appears in Follow Up Boss

When a contact views properties multiple times, saves a property, sends a message, or views an alert, RealScout logs a note in Follow Up Boss and applies a corresponding tag. These tags power your Smart Lists.

Create Smart Lists in Follow Up Boss

Smart List 1: Hand Raisers

  1. Go to People → Create new Smart List.

  2. Filter by Tag: RealScout Message Sent and RealScout HVA Valuation Message.

  3. Review this list daily.

Smart List 2: High Intent Activity

  1. Create a new Smart List.

  2. Filter by Tag: include all High-Intent tags listed above.

  3. Review regularly to surface engaged buyers and sellers.


Keep Smart Lists current with tag cleanup

Manual method: After responding to a contact, remove their engagement tag. The tag will reapply the next time the contact takes the same action.

Automated method (recommended) — Create an Action Plan:

  1. Go to Action Plans → Create new plan.

  2. Name it (e.g., Remove RealScout Message Sent).

  3. Add action: Remove Tag → select the tag.

  4. Set delay: 14–15 days.

  5. Save.

Create an Automation:

  1. Go to Automations → Add Automation.

  2. Trigger: Tag Added → choose the tag.

  3. Action: run the Action Plan created above.

  4. Enable Allow multiple runs.

  5. Save and enable.

Tags now auto-remove after your defined period, keeping Smart Lists clean while allowing contacts to re-enter on their next qualifying action.


Location segmentation

Follow Up Boss can auto-tag contacts by city or zip code when they search specific areas in RealScout. Use location-based tags for geo-targeted Smart Lists and farming campaigns.
