Sharing a Single Listing

Option 1: Share from the Top Search Bar

  1. In the top search bar near your profile photo, type a portion of the property address.

  2. Click the correct address from the dropdown. The listing detail page opens.

  3. On the right side of the page, locate the Share With Buyers section.

  4. Continue with the steps in Sharing with an Existing Contact below.

Option 2: Share by Opening a Listing Directly

Open any listing from your search results or contact page. The share options appear on the right side of the listing detail page, or via the share icon in the upper corner of the page.

Sharing with an Existing Contact

  1. In the Share With Buyers section, click the Select Client field.

  2. Scroll or type a name to filter your contact list, then click the contact's name. A grey bubble confirms they were added.

  3. Add additional contacts by repeating the previous step before sending.

  4. Type a personalized message in the message field.

  5. Click Send This Listing.

The contact receives the listing by email and in their messages within the RealScout client app.

Sharing via a Copyable Link

In the Share section, click the copy icon next to the listing link. Paste it anywhere: text, email, social media, or a QR code generator.

Note: Anyone who clicks the link and registers will be captured as your contact. Your lead registration threshold, set in Account Settings under Contact Interface Settings, controls how many listings a new visitor can view before being prompted to sign up.

Sharing from the RealScout Mobile App

While viewing any listing in the RealScout app, tap the share icon in the upper corner of the screen. You can share directly from your phone or copy a link to use in a QR code, text message, or social media post.

Sharing Multiple Listings: Public and Private Links

When you want to share a hand-picked set of specific listings, rather than your full search, use the Share Listings flow from your search results page. This generates either a Public Link or a Private Link saved to your account.

Step 1: Select Your Listings

  1. Go to your search page and run a search for the area or criteria you want.

  2. Use the Layout button to hide the search form or map if you want to focus on the listing cards.

  3. Click the checkbox on the right side of each listing card you want to include. The Share Listings button is located above the selection boxes.

  4. Click Share Listings.

Step 2: Choose a Sharing Method

Option

What It Does

Sends the selected listings directly to a contact in your account via RealScout email

Generate Public Link

Creates a link anyone can view, for social media, flyers, QR codes, or email blasts

Generate Private Link

Creates a contact-specific link that logs that person into their account automatically

Generating a Public Link

  1. In the Share Listings dialog, click Generate Public Link.

  2. In the Create Public Listings Link dialog, enter a name in the Name field. This name appears as the page title when someone opens the link. Use something descriptive: for example, Weekend Open Houses or San Jose Homes Under $900K.

  3. Click Generate Public Link.

  4. Copy the URL and use it anywhere.

The URL includes your agent subdomain, making it specific to your account. Anyone who registers after clicking becomes your contact.

Generating a Private Link

  1. In the Share Listings dialog, click Generate Private Link.

  2. In the Select a client field, type or scroll to find the contact you want.

  3. Click their name.

  4. Review the Do Not Share Publicly notice, which confirms the link is unique to that contact and will log them into their account automatically.

  5. Click Copy Link for [Contact Name] and send it via text, email, or any messaging tool.

Caution: Do not share a Private Link publicly. The link is tied to one specific contact's account. Anyone else who uses it will be logged in as that contact.

Finding and Managing Saved Links

All Public Links and Private Links you create are saved in one place.

  1. Go to Marketing → Shareable Links in the left navigation.

The table shows each link's mode (Public or Private), the associated contact (for Private Links), the number of listings included, and a copy icon to grab the URL again. Use this page to re-copy a link you've already created or to delete links for listings that have sold.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a Public Link and a Private Link?

A Public Link is viewable by anyone with the URL.

Use it for social posts, flyers, QR codes, and email blasts. Anyone who registers through it becomes your contact. A Private Link is tied to one specific contact already in your account. It logs them in automatically when they click it, which means it should never be shared with anyone other than the intended person.

Do I need the contact to already be in RealScout to use a Private Link or Send via Email?

Yes. Both the Private Link and the Send via Email options require you to select an existing contact from your account. If the person is not yet in your database, use Generate Public Link instead. They will be prompted to register when they click, and they will appear in your Contacts list once they do.

Will the listings in my Public or Private Link update automatically if the market changes?

No. The listings you selected at the time of creation are fixed in that link. If a property goes under contract or you want to include new listings, create a new link from your search page and delete the outdated one from the Listing Links tab.

Where do I find links I created previously?

Go to Marketing → Shareable Links → Listing Links tab. Every Public and Private Link you've generated is saved there with a copy icon so you can retrieve the URL at any time.

Can I share listings directly from my phone?

Yes. From any listing in the RealScout mobile app, tap the share icon in the upper corner to send the listing directly or copy a link. For the multi-listing Public and Private Link flow, use the browser version of RealScout on desktop or mobile.

What controls how many listings a new visitor can view before signing up?

Your Contact Interface settings. Go to Account Settings and adjust the Lead Registration Requirements setting.
