Let's learn how to import your contacts using tiers. We strongly encourage you to import your most engaged contacts first. RealScout's email sendability grows as your sender reputation builds. If you import cold or unengaged contacts too early and they mark your emails as spam, your sendability limit gets restricted, so fewer of your contacts receive alerts.
Import in this order instead:
Tier 1
Active leads first (engaged within the last 12 months) - people who already know your name. They're most likely to open and click, which builds your sending reputation fast.
Tier 2
Older leads next (12-24 months inactive) - once your reputation is established, bring these in using Auto Nurture or apply an alert.
Tier 3
Cold contacts last - assign broad templates by tag and add them once your sendability has grown.
Skipping this order doesn't just affect your cold contacts. It can slow down how quickly you reach everyone in your database.
The gut check question: "If this person called me today, would I know who they are?"
If yes, import first.
If you have to think about it, second round.
If you'd have no idea, last or skip altogether.
