Connecting Cloze to RealScout imports your Cloze contacts into RealScout and sends RealScout activity for those contacts back to Cloze. After connecting, you choose whether RealScout imports all Cloze contacts or only tagged contacts, then run a one-time backfill to bring in the contacts you already have.
Before you start
You need access to your RealScout agent account and your Cloze account. If you plan to import by tags, these rules decide which contacts come over:
Tags are not case-sensitive, but every letter, number, and symbol must match.

Step 1: Open the Cloze integration
Log in to your RealScout agent account.
Go to Automations → Integrations.
Find Cloze and click Connect Cloze Account.
Tip: If you are already logged in to Cloze in the same browser, you can approve the connection without signing in again.
Step 2: Authorize the connection
Sign in to Cloze if prompted.
Review the permissions screen. It lists the access RealScout requests, such as reading people and properties, adding people from RealScout to Cloze, and adding notes.
Click Approve.
You return to RealScout, and the Cloze card shows your connected account.
Step 3: Choose which contacts import
Under Contact Import Settings on the Cloze card, pick one option:
Import Contacts by Tags (recommended for most teams): only contacts from Cloze with matching tags import.
Import All Contacts: every contact in your Cloze account imports, regardless of tags.
To add tags for Import Contacts by Tags:
Select the tags area under Import Contacts by Tags to open Create Tags. Your current tags appear at the top.
Type a tag name. Click + Add More Tags to add another row.
Click Save.
Before choosing Import All Contacts: contacts imported while it is on stay in RealScout if you later switch to tags. Switching changes future imports only.
Step 4: Back fill the contacts you already have
The ongoing sync picks up new and updated contacts. To bring in contacts that were already in Cloze when you connected, click Back Fill Contacts. A backfill follows your current Contact Import Settings, so with tag-based importing, only tagged contacts come over. Contacts need an email address to import.
Check your connection
The Cloze card shows the connected account name and email, a status of Active or Inactive, and the number of Synced Contacts.
If the status shows Inactive, click reconnecting in the How does it work? panel on the Cloze card.
In the Cloze window that opens, click Approve.
Confirm the status shows Active.
To disconnect, click Delete Integration on the Cloze card. Removing the connection inside Cloze does not remove the integration from RealScout.
Which import option should you use?

Do Cloze tags need to match capitalization?
No. REALSCOUT, RealScout, and realscout all match. Spelling and symbols must match, so a hyphen in Cloze needs a hyphen in RealScout.
Can I remove the default RealScout tag?
No. RealScout is always an accepted import tag. Add other tags to broaden what imports. Any Cloze contact tagged #RealScout imports into RealScout.
Can I use Auto Nurture with my Cloze contacts?
Yes. Once contacts import, Auto Nurture treats them like any other contact in your account, based on your Auto Nurture Overview & Settings.
