How can I set up and monitor Home Value Alerts, and capture new seller leads?

Updated this week

Question: How can I set up and monitor Home Value Alerts and capture new seller leads?

Answer: Home Value Alerts keep your clients engaged with automated property valuations sent directly to their inbox. Here's how to get started: Home Value Alerts allow users to track the estimated value of a property and relevant market activities. The alerts benefit clients by providing them with regular updates on their property value while keeping agents informed and ready to follow up as needed.

To set up Home Value Alerts:

  1. Click "Create New Alert"

  2. Select the contact from your existing contacts list

  3. Enter their property address and click "Create Home Value Alert"

  4. Optional: Customize and preview the valuation layout before creating. Clients also have the ability to set up Home Value Alerts on their own, and notifications about these alerts are automatically sent to both the client and agent.

To capture new seller leads:

  1. Click "Capture Leads: What's My Home Worth?"

  2. Click "Copy link to clipboard."

  3. Share this link via email, text, your website, or social media

  4. For off-site access, try to paste/save it to a personal note, document, or email it to yourself with a subject line you'll remember

To monitor your alerts: Your Home Value Alerts Dashboard shows engagement metrics, including emails delivered, emails opened, and dashboard views. When you see a "dashboard view," it means your client opened the email and viewed their full valuation report. Click on any property address to see detailed activity for that specific home. When a client clicks "Request Valuation Estimate" within an alert, you will receive a notification email and see the request in your Recent Client Conversations. At this point, you can manually resend the valuation or provide additional information. Differentiating Home Value Alerts from Market Alerts Home Value Alerts function independently of other systems like Market Alerts. For example, disabling Market Alerts for specific areas or ZIP codes does not impact the delivery of Home Value Alerts, which continue updating clients automatically. Best Practices for Managing Home Value Alerts

  • Treat Home Value Alerts as opportunities for client engagement.

  • Promptly follow up when clients request a valuation estimate or initiate property discussions.

  • Use the alerts to monitor client readiness for more active property discussions.
