Cloze + RealScout: Auto Nurture Setup Guide

Use Cloze buyer profile data to automatically enroll contacts in the right RealScout experience: Listing Alerts for active buyers, Home Value Alerts for homeowners, or an Auto Nurture email sequence when key details are missing.

Auto Nurture uses data from Cloze to automatically enroll contacts in the right RealScout experience: Listing Alerts for active buyers, Home Value Alerts for homeowners, or an Auto Nurture email sequence when a contact's profile is incomplete. Once set up, it runs in the background without any manual steps per contact.

How Auto Nurture Works with Cloze

When Cloze is connected, RealScout reads these data points to decide what to send each contact:

  1. Buyer Profile fields (location + price range): used to create a Listing Alert tailored to the contact's search criteria.

  2. Home address: used to create a Home Value Alert, or a Market Activity Alert as a fallback if valuation data is unavailable.

  3. Email only (no buyer profile or home address): the contact enters the Auto Nurture email sequence until more information becomes available.

Note: Auto Nurture enrollment is based on what exists in the contact's Cloze record at the time they sync to RealScout. If the Cloze record is updated after the initial sync, you may need to review the alert created in RealScout to confirm it reflects the new data.

Set Up Auto Nurture for Cloze

Step 1: Connect Cloze to RealScout

  1. Log in to your RealScout agent account.

  2. Go to Integrations.

  3. Find Cloze and click Connect Cloze Account, then follow the prompts to approve access.

Step 2: Choose how contacts import from Cloze

RealScout supports two import modes. Choose the one that fits your database:

Only import tagged contacts (recommended) — RealScout imports only Cloze contacts that match tags you specify. The RealScout tag is the default and cannot be removed. Tags are case-insensitive.

Import all contacts — imports every contact from Cloze regardless of tags. This setting is irreversible for contacts already brought in; switching modes later does not remove previously imported contacts.

Tip: Start with Only import tagged contacts so you can pilot Auto Nurture on a smaller group before expanding.

Step 3: Backfill existing contacts (optional)

After setting your import mode, click Back Fill Contacts in the Cloze integration settings to immediately pull in contacts that already exist in Cloze. Backfill is a one-time action and applies your current import settings.

Step 4: Enable Auto Nurture in RealScout

  1. Go to Auto Nurture at realscout.com/agent/auto-nurture.

  2. Enable Auto Nurture for new contacts so newly synced Cloze contacts are enrolled automatically.

  3. Confirm your fallback templates are selected (Listing Alert template and Market Activity Alert fallback), so contacts with incomplete data still receive a relevant alert.

Note: You can also enable Auto Nurture manually for a specific contact from their profile in RealScout, if you prefer not to turn it on globally.

What Cloze Data Powers Auto Nurture

Cloze field

What RealScout does with it

Buyer Profile: Location

Used as the Listing Alert search location

Buyer Profile: Price range (min/max)

Sets Listing Alert price boundaries — at minimum, a max price is required

Buyer Profile: Property type (optional)

Can further refine the Listing Alert criteria

Home address

Creates a Home Value Alert (or Market Activity Alert if valuation is unavailable)

Email only

Enrolls contact in the Auto Nurture email sequence until more data is available

Note: For Auto Nurture to create a Listing Alert from Cloze data, the Buyer Profile must include at minimum a location and a max price. If those fields are missing, the contact defaults to the Auto Nurture email sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Auto Nurture send an email sequence for Cloze contacts with no buyer profile?
Yes. If a Cloze contact only has an email address and no usable Buyer Profile fields or home address, RealScout enrolls them in the Auto Nurture email sequence. They will receive those emails until more data is added to their profile and the alert is updated.

What if my Cloze contact has a home address but no buyer profile?
RealScout creates a Home Value Alert for that contact, or a Market Activity Alert if valuation data is unavailable for the address. They will not receive a Listing Alert unless a Buyer Profile with a location and price range exists in Cloze.

Can I control which Cloze contacts get enrolled in Auto Nurture?
Yes, in two ways. First, use tag-based importing so only contacts you tag in Cloze sync to RealScout. Second, disable global Auto Nurture enrollment and enable it manually per contact from their RealScout profile. Tags are case-insensitive, and the default RealScout tag cannot be removed.

What happens if I update a Cloze contact's buyer profile after they've already synced to RealScout?
The contact's RealScout alert does not update automatically when the Cloze record changes. If a contact's criteria or address changes in Cloze, review their alert in RealScout and update it manually if needed.

Can I use Cloze and Follow Up Boss at the same time in RealScout?
RealScout supports one active CRM integration per agent account. Running both Cloze and Follow Up Boss simultaneously on the same agent account is not a supported configuration. If you have questions about your specific setup, contact Member Support.
