When RealScout is integrated with Follow Up Boss, you can allow agents to reply to RealScout messages directly inside the Follow Up Boss Inbox. This keeps conversations centralized and prevents missed replies.

This setup must be completed by the RealScout account owner.


Step 1: Enable the Inbox in RealScout

  1. Log in to RealScout as the account owner.

  2. Navigate to Integrations.

  3. Select Follow Up Boss.

  4. Scroll to the Inbox App Settings section.

  5. Toggle Inbox to ON.

  6. Save your changes.

Note: Only the RealScout account owner can enable this setting. Once enabled, it applies to the entire team.


Step 2: Have Each Agent Select RealScout in FUB Inbox

After the Inbox is enabled in RealScout:

  1. Each agent logs into Follow Up Boss.

  2. Click Inbox.

  3. Use the filter dropdown.

  4. Select RealScout as the message source.

Agents can now:

  • View incoming RealScout messages.

  • Reply directly within Follow Up Boss.

  • Access included RealScout links inside the message thread.


What Agents See in FUB

When a client sends a message through RealScout:

  • The client's message appears in the FUB Inbox.

  • The message includes:

    • A link to the agent-facing RealScout view.

    • A shareable client link for quick follow-up.

  • The conversation is logged in the contact record.

This allows agents to respond without switching platforms.


Message Handling Best Practices

  • Confirm agents have selected the RealScout filter in the Inbox.

  • Train agents to reply from FUB to maintain a single source of truth.

  • Periodically verify the integration is still active under RealScout → Integrations.

Tip: If messages are not appearing, confirm the Inbox toggle is enabled and that the Follow Up Boss integration is active.


Frequently Asked Questions

Does every FUB team member need to enable something in RealScout?

No. Only the account owner enables the Inbox toggle. Agents only need to select the RealScout filter in FUB.


Can agents still reply inside RealScout?

Yes. The Inbox feature simply allows replies from FUB. It does not remove RealScout messaging.


What happens if the filter is not selected?

Messages may not appear in the agent's current Inbox view. Agents must filter by RealScout to see those conversations.
