Zapier allows you to connect RealScout to thousands of other apps. This means you can automate tasks, sync data, and get more done with the tools you already use. Search the Zapier Integrations page to find out which integrations are available.

Open your RealScout Integrations page to copy your Zapier API key. Note: This is how you'll connect your RealScout account to your Zapier account. These steps will likely be similar to the steps for adding other services/apps to Zapier.

Overview of RealScout's Integration Capabilities

RealScout does not offer a public API for general developer access. However, there are still ways to integrate third-party platforms with RealScout using supported tools and services.

Additionally, when setting up integrations for teams, it is important to consider multi-agent lead syncing. Leads for new agents will not automatically sync unless the Zap is configured to include all agents or separate Zaps are created for each agent.

  • Any other CRM or platform not covered by RealScout's native integrations

  • Follow Up Boss (when the FUB team owner does not have a RealScout account)

When to Use This

  • You need to route incoming leads from a third-party platform into RealScout automatically

  • You want your CRM or another tool to receive notifications when a RealScout contact views a listing, saves a property, or opens an email

  • You are using Follow Up Boss as an individual agent (not through a team owner with a direct RealScout integration)

Do not rely on Zapier if you need saved search criteria, property addresses, or notes to sync. Those fields are not supported.


How It Works

Zapier is a third-party automation tool that connects other services or apps with RealScout. RealScout does not offer a public API for general developer access, which makes tools like Zapier essential for integrating third-party platforms.

→ It works through a trigger-and-action model: which means that when a defined event happens in one app → Zapier performs your defined action in another service/app.

Each action is a separate Zap step.

  • A property view and a property save, for example, each require their own Zap configuration.

  • Zapier does not create a two-way sync with other services.

  • On Zapier's free plan, triggers check for new events on a polling cycle of up to about 15 minutes, so a new lead can take up to 15 minutes to appear. Paid Zapier plans poll more frequently.

It does not replicate the behavior of RealScout's direct API integrations with platforms like Follow Up Boss (team owner), Cloze, MoxiWorks, or ReChat.


What Zapier Can and Cannot Do with RealScout

Zapier CAN send this information to RealScout

When creating or updating a contact in RealScout via Zapier, the following fields are supported; only EMAIL is required:

  • Email (required)

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Mobile Phone

  • Lead Source

  • Additional Email

  • Financial State

  • Cash/Pre-Approval Amount

Zapier CANNOT send this information to RealScout

The following fields are not supported:

  • Property addresses

  • Notes

  • Saved search criteria or alert preferences

  • Lead type categorization (e.g., buyer vs. seller)

  • Tags

  • Timestamps


RealScout Events That Can Trigger a Zap: RealScout to Follow Up Boss

Zapier can detect and send the following RealScout activity to another platform:

  • Property Viewed

  • Property Saved (Interested)

  • Property Hidden (Disliked)

  • Email Opened

  • Email Delivered

  • New Contact Created (agent-created or self-signup)

If your service or app supports adding a URL, you can copy and paste your Contact's URL (right clip to copy or long-press if on mobile) and paste it to your CRM/app notes


Auto Nurture and Zapier

If an agent has Auto Nurture enabled for all leads those contacts will be enrolled in Auto Nurture automatically once they sync into RealScout.

To verify this setting:

  1. Review your Auto Nurture configuration to confirm which leads are included.


Step-by-Step: Send a New Lead from a Third-Party Platform to RealScout via Zapier

  1. Go to zapier.com and log in to your Zapier account.

  2. Click Create Zap.

  3. Set your Trigger to the platform where new leads arrive (for example, Sierra Interactive, a Google Sheet, or a lead form).

  4. Set your Action app to RealScout.

  5. Choose the action Create Contact (or equivalent available action).

  6. Map the available fields from your trigger source to the supported RealScout fields: Email, First Name, Last Name, Mobile Phone, Lead Source, Additional Email, Financial State, Cash/Pre-Approval Amount.

  1. For teams, ensure that your Zap is configured to capture leads for all agents or create separate Zaps for each agent to handle multi-agent lead syncing.

Example Use Case: Connecting Zbuyer Leads to RealScout

To connect Zbuyer leads to RealScout:

  1. Use Zapier to create a "Zap" (an automated workflow).

  2. Set Zbuyer as the trigger app, with the event being "New Lead."

  3. Set RealScout as the action app, with the action being "Add or Update Contact." This setup ensures that new leads from Zbuyer are automatically added or updated in RealScout.

  4. Test the Zap to confirm the contact appears in RealScout.

  5. Turn the Zap on.

After setup:

  • Property addresses and notes will not transfer. These must be added manually inside RealScout.

  • If the lead type needs to be set (for example, seller lead), update that manually after the contact syncs.


Step-by-Step: Trigger a Notification in Your CRM When a RealScout Lead Views a Property

  1. In Zapier, click Create Zap.

  2. Set your Trigger app to RealScout.

  3. Select the trigger event (for example, Property Viewed).

  4. Connect your RealScout account if not already connected.

  5. Set your Action app to your CRM (for example, Sierra Interactive or LionDesk).

  6. Configure the action to create a note, task, or activity in your CRM.

  7. Test and activate the Zap.

Note: Each event type (view, save, hide) requires its own Zap.


Common Questions

Can I launch RealScout directly from my Zapier-connected CRM?

No. There is no direct login or launch integration through Zapier. Agents can access RealScout through the mobile app or by logging in directly at realscout.com.

Can Zapier create RealScout listing alerts for new leads?

Not directly. However, if Auto Nurture is enabled for incoming leads or a matching tag, new contacts synced via Zapier will be enrolled automatically.

Does Zapier support the same field mapping as the direct FUB integration?

No. The direct Follow Up Boss integration (available only to FUB team owners with a RealScout account) includes property address mapping and additional fields not available through Zapier.

Why don't RealScout search links show up in my CRM after a Zap runs?

RealScout does not sync search alert URLs or saved criteria through Zapier. Only the contact record and supported fields transfer.

Does RealScout have a direct integration I should use instead of Zapier?

If you or your team owner uses Follow Up Boss, Cloze, MoxiWorks, or ReChat, a native integration may be available. Native integrations include more field support and do not require Zap configuration for each event type.

Will new agents’ leads automatically sync from RealScout to Wise Agent? No, new agents’ leads will not automatically sync unless your Zap is configured to include all agents or you create individual Zaps for each agent.

Can RealScout set up Zapier for me? No, RealScout does not manage Zapier workflows. You must configure the integration yourself or work with your CRM provider if they offer setup services.


Troubleshooting

The Zap ran but the contact did not appear in RealScout.

  • Confirm the email field was mapped and contains a valid email address. Email is required to create a contact in RealScout.

  • Check the Zap history in Zapier for error messages: go to Zap History in your Zapier dashboard and review the failed run.

The Zap is running but I am not seeing property activity sent to my CRM.

  • Confirm you selected the correct RealScout trigger (for example, Property Viewed vs. Property Saved).

  • Each event type requires a separate Zap. A single Zap for "Property Viewed" will not also capture "Property Saved."

Zap limits are depleting faster than expected.

  • Avoid using the Email Opened trigger if high email volume is expected. This event fires frequently and can exhaust monthly Zap task limits quickly.

  • Use Zapier Filters to narrow which events continue past the trigger step, so only the activity you need consumes tasks.

  • Use the RealScout mobile app to monitor recent contact activity instead of creating Zaps for routine tracking.

A contact came in through Zapier but their lead type or property address is wrong.

  • Zapier does not support lead type categorization or address fields. These must be updated manually inside RealScout after the contact syncs.

Leads are not syncing for new agents.

  • Ensure your Zap is configured to include all agents or create separate Zaps for each agent.

Contacts are not being created in RealScout.

  • Confirm the email field is mapped and contains a valid email address, as this is required for contact creation.
