Create Shareable Listing Links from Your Search

RealScout now lets you generate a shareable link for any set of listings you select directly from a search — without setting up a full Search Link in advance. You can create a public link that works for anyone outside RealScout, or a private link tied to a specific contact already in your account. Both link types save automatically to Marketing → Search Links.

What Changed

When you select listings on your RealScout search page, a pop-up appears at the bottom of the screen. This pop-up previously offered one option: send listings to an existing contact. It now includes two additional options:

Public shareable link — generates a URL that anyone can open. No RealScout account required on the viewer’s end.

Private link — generates a URL tied to a specific contact in your database. The contact sees a personalized view and you retain tracking data.

Note: Both link types save automatically to Marketing → Search Links after you generate them. You do not need to take any additional steps to save.

How to Create a Public Shareable Link

Navigate to: realscout.com/agent/search

1. Open any search on your RealScout search page.

2. Click the checkbox on three to five listings. A selection bar or pop-up appears at the bottom of the screen as you select.

3. In the pop-up, select Public shareable link.

4. Copy the URL that generates. This is your public link.

5. Test it: paste the URL into a private browser tab to see the viewer experience.

Pro Tip: The public link shows your curated listing selection to anyone who opens it. Visitors do not need a RealScout account. If they register, they become a new lead in your account.

How to Create a Private Link for an Existing Contact

Navigate to: realscout.com/agent/search

6. Open any search on your RealScout search page.

7. Click the checkbox on listings you want to share.

8. In the pop-up, select Private link.

9. Search for and select the contact from your database.

10. Copy the URL that generates. This link is specific to that contact.

Note: Private links are tied to an existing contact record. The contact you select must already be in your RealScout account. If you want to share with someone not yet in your database, use the Public shareable link option instead.

Where Your Links Are Saved

Every link you generate — public or private — saves automatically to your Search Links library.

From Marketing → Search Links, you can:

• Copy the link again to reshare it

• Rename the link for easier reference

• Convert the link to a QR code using any QR code generator

• Track registrations from the link over time

Using Your Links for Marketing

A shareable listing link is a URL — which means you can use it anywhere a URL works:

• Post it directly on Facebook or Instagram Stories using a link sticker

• Text it to a lead who isn’t in your database yet

• Drop it in an email campaign or newsletter

• Convert it to a QR code for an open house sign-in sheet or flyer

• Add it to your email signature alongside your general search page link

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the person receiving the public link need a RealScout account?

No. Public shareable links are viewable by anyone without a RealScout account. If the viewer chooses to save a search or register, they’ll be prompted to create an account and will appear as a new lead in your RealScout Contacts.

Where do the generated links get saved?

Both public and private links save automatically to Marketing → Search Links. You don’t need to take any additional steps — after generating a link, navigate there to find it.

Can I generate a link for a contact who isn’t in my RealScout account yet?

Use the Public shareable link option for that. Private links require an existing contact in your database. Once the new lead registers through a public link, they’ll appear in your Contacts and you can assign them a private link in the future.

Is there a limit on how many listings I can select?

Select listings the same way you would when sending to a contact. For best results, keep your selection focused — three to eight listings shows intent without overwhelming the viewer.

Can I rename or delete saved links?

Yes. Go to Marketing → Search Links and use the options available for each saved link. You can rename links to make them easier to reference later.
