Why might Contacts still appear as nurtured and receive notifications after disabling Auto Nurture in RealScout?

Understanding 'Nurtured' Contacts and Notifications in RealScout

Auto Nurture in RealScout is a powerful tool for maintaining client engagement. However, its interactions with client statuses and notifications can sometimes cause confusion. This guide explains why contact might still appear as nurtured or continue to receive notifications even after Auto Nurture is disabled and alerts are deleted.

Overview of Auto Nurture and Notifications

Auto Nurture is designed to facilitate ongoing communication with your contacts through features like Listing Alerts or Home Value Alerts. However, disabling Auto Nurture doesn't automatically clear all client notifications or change their 'nurtured' status in your system.

Managing Notifications

Contacts might continue to receive notifications due to the persistence of some alert features. Here are the key factors to note:

  1. Other Active Alerts Even if Auto Nurture and Listing Alerts are disabled, your Contact may still be receiving notifications from other active alerts—such as Home Value Alerts or Price/Status Changes on Interested Homes. To prevent further notifications, ensure you disable all alert types associated with the profile.

  2. Contact Nurtured Status Deleting alerts or disabling Auto Nurture does not remove a Contact's status as 'nurtured' in RealScout. Once a Contact has engaged with your system—such as receiving emails or accessing RealScout—they remain classified as 'nurtured.' This status is retained for future engagement purposes and does not diminish automatically.

Understanding 'Nurtured Contacts'

'Nurtured Contacts' in RealScout refers to any contact who has interacted with RealScout or holds the potential for future engagement. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Contacts who currently or previously had Listing Alerts or Home Value Alerts enabled, or who you set up with Auto Nurture.

  • Leads added to your RealScout account who you Enrich using RealScout's contact enrichment feature.

Disabling Auto Nurture does not alter these criteria, and the count of nurtured contacts remains unaffected: archiving is how to move someone to an inactive state in RealScout.

Steps to Address Notification and Status Issues

If you want to stop a Contact from receiving notifications or alter their role as nurtured, follow these steps:

  1. Review the contacts' profiles on RealScout.

  2. Disable all active alerts, including Listing Alerts, Home Value Alerts, or any other alert type.

  3. Understand that the 'nurtured' label will persist, as it reflects their engagement history, not their active alerts or Auto Nurture status.

  4. Archiving turns off, but does not delete, all alerts and moves the lead over to your Archive tab. Alerts and message history are preserved in this action.

By properly managing alerts and understanding the definition of nurtured contacts, you can better utilize RealScout's tools and keep your Contacts organized.
