Your profile photo appears on the listing alerts, search links, and client-facing pages your contacts see, so a clean, well-cropped headshot helps your brand look polished everywhere RealScout shows up. You can crop your photo two ways: when you first upload it during the initial profile set-up flow, or anytime afterward from your Profile page. This article covers cropping from your Profile page.
Open your Profile page
1. Click your My Account icon at the top of your account.
2. Click Profile from the drop-down menu.
Crop your photo
3. Click Update Photo.
RealScout opens a larger view of your photo.
4. Click in the top-left corner of the area you want to keep, then drag to the bottom-right corner. A square selection appears over the photo. Adjust it until it frames the part of the image you want.
5. Click the Crop Photo button at the bottom of the photo pop-up, then click Done.
Tip: The crop selection is a square, which matches how your photo displays in RealScout. For the cleanest result, start with a high-resolution image and center your face in the frame so the square crop keeps your headshot balanced.
Confirm the crop saved
After you crop, the cropping may take a moment to reflect in the preview mode. Once the preview updates, your cropped photo is set across your client-facing pages.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop my photo more than once?
Yes. You can re-crop your RealScout profile photo as many times as you want. Open your Profile page, click Update Photo, make a new crop selection, then click Crop Photo and Done. The new crop replaces the previous one.
Do I have to crop during initial setup, or can I do it later?
You can do either. RealScout lets you crop your photo when you first upload it during the initial profile set-up flow, and you can also return to your Profile page at any time to crop or re-crop it. Cropping is never required to finish setup.
How do I know my new crop took effect?
After you click Crop Photo and Done, the cropping may take a moment to reflect in the preview mode. Once the preview updates, your cropped photo is set. If it does not appear, refresh your Profile page and check again.
