Alert Settings & Schedule Overview

Everything you need to know about setting up your listing alert correctly

Listing Alerts in RealScout are highly configurable. This guide walks through every schedule option and setting so you can set up alerts exactly the way your contacts prefer to receive them.

Daily does not mean every day. The Daily schedule sends alerts only on days when new matches exist — contacts may receive up to 3 emails per week.


Choose an alert schedule

How it works

Daily

Sends on match days only (up to Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat). Configure a.m. or p.m. delivery and which days are active.

Weekly (manual setup)

There is no separate Weekly schedule. To send weekly, set the schedule to Daily and uncheck the days you don't want alerts sent — for example, leave only one day checked.

ASAP

Sends an alert as soon as a new match is found. Best for highly motivated buyers in fast-moving markets.

Monthly

Sends once at the beginning of each month with that period's matches.

Hand-Picked

Disables automatic sending. 0:44 in video. You email listings manually — use when you want full control over what gets sent and when.

Disabled

Pauses the alert entirely. No emails are sent. Use when you're not ready to activate an alert or need to temporarily pause it.


Configure additional settings

  • Send a copy to yourself — Adds your email as a CC on every alert sent to this contact.

  • Suppress natural language intros — Removes the personalized intro text from the alert email for a cleaner presentation.

  • Enable open house reminders — Sends a reminder before each weekend when there are open houses matching the contact's criteria.


Save and send

  1. Click Save to apply the settings.

  2. To send the alert immediately, use the Send Now option before saving.
