This article explains how clients log in to the RealScout Home Search App using their Primary Email and password. It covers agent selection, password options, and notification preferences after login.
How it works
Your agent adds you to RealScout using your Primary Email. That email is your login identifier. When you enter it, the app matches you to one or more agents who have added you as a contact. You then select the agent you want to work with and enter your password to complete login.
Primary Email
The main email address your agent used when adding you as a contact in RealScout. This is the only email address that works as a login. If you are unsure which email that is, ask your agent.
Secondary Contact
A co-buyer or additional contact linked to the same account. Secondary Contacts must also use the Primary Email to log in, not their own email address.
Step-by-step instructions
Open the RealScout Home Search App on your mobile device.
Enter your Primary Email on the login screen. This is the exact email your agent has on file for you.
Tap Next.
You will see a list of one or more agents. Tap the name or photo of the agent you want to work with.
If multiple agents appear, it means more than one agent has added your email to their contact list. Choose the agent you intend to work with in RealScout.
Enter your Password and tap Login.
When prompted about notifications, tap Allow or Don't Allow based on your preference.
Allowing notifications keeps you informed of agent messages and real-time listing updates.
If you do not have a password or cannot log in
If you have not set up a password yet or cannot remember it, you have three options:
Login with Email Link: Tap this option on the login screen to receive a one-time login link sent to your Primary Email. Your email app must be accessible on the same mobile device for the link to open the app directly.
Send Password Reset Email: Tap this option to receive a password reset link at your Primary Email address.
Ask your agent: Request that your agent send you a Welcome Email. This email includes a link to set up your password and complete your profile.
Common questions and edge cases
Why do I see multiple agents on the login screen?
Each agent who has added your email address to their RealScout contact list will appear here. This is expected behavior. Select the agent you are currently working with.
I am a Secondary Contact. Which email do I use?
Use the Primary Email associated with the account, not your own personal email. The Primary Email is the one the agent used to set up the account.
The login link in my email is not opening the app. What should I do?
The Login with Email Link only routes you directly into the app if your email is accessible on the same mobile device where the app is installed. If your email is on a different device, use the password option instead.
