Auto Nurture: Listing Alert Auto Updates

How Auto Nurture automatically updates Listing Alert search criteria based on contact activity — and how to turn it off.

Listing Alerts created by Auto Nurture are dynamic — they automatically update their search criteria based on how your contacts engage with listings. Here's how that works and how to manage it.

Auto Updating is exclusive to Auto Nurture alerts. Agent-created and contact-created alerts do not support automatic criteria adjustments — their Auto Update field will always show as "off."

How auto-updating works

Every day that a contact has listing activity on RealScout, RealScout attempts to expand that alert's price and location criteria based on their activity. Auto-updating alerts adjust automatically based on the contact's activity and interests, ensuring notifications remain relevant to their preferences.

  • Dynamic Adjustments: Criteria such as price range or location can expand automatically based on the contact's engagement.

  • Contact-Centric: These alerts adapt to what the contact is actively exploring, providing a more personalized experience.

Alert types compared

Not all alerts in RealScout are auto-updating. Here's how the different types compare:

  1. Auto-Updating Alerts (Auto Nurture):

    • Created automatically through Auto Nurture.

    • Criteria adjust dynamically based on contact activity.

  2. Agent-Created Alerts:

    • Set up manually by the agent for the contact.

    • Criteria remain fixed unless manually updated by the agent.

  3. Contact-Created Alerts:

    • Set up manually by the contact through the RealScout interface.

    • Criteria remain fixed unless manually updated by the contact.

Turn off Auto Updating

Auto Updating can be turned off per alert on the alert settings page. The Auto Update field indicates whether the search criteria can automatically expand based on contact activity.

  • Alert Delivery: Contacts can still receive notifications for new or updated listings even if the Auto Update field is off. Alert delivery is separate from the auto-updating functionality.

  • Criteria Expansion: Auto-updating affects how the search criteria evolve, not whether alerts are sent.
