You now have the power to utilize a mortgage calculator when viewing properties on RealScout! Utilizing the calculator can now help you envision the estimated monthly payments based on the property details, including list price, insurance, and other customizable settings.
Important access information
- Calculators will be visible if your real estate agent has opted-in to display the calculator on RealScout.
- Calculators will be visible on property detail pages for All Property Types with a Status of For Sale or Coming Soon.
- By default, RealScout will use current interest rates for the mortgage calculator. These rates come from data provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, but the source may change, as noted in the disclaimer section.

How to use the Calculator
The calculator provides a breakdown of a potential monthly mortgage payment based on the following variables below:
Property Details (Information relevant to the specific listing being viewed)
- Listing Price
- Monthly Insurance
- Mortgage Interest Rate (%)
- Mortgage Type
- Conventional 30 Year
- Conventional 15 Year
- Jumbo 30 Year
- VA 30 Year - Down Payment amount (Dollar or Percentage)

On the property page, you will see a button to "Request cost details from your agent."
This is an example of how the message request will look for your agent in the RealScout - Messages section. It will have a link to the property page, the address of the property, and a message, "cost detail request for [address]."
If you'd like to message your agent more details, head over to the RealScout - Messages tab on the left navigation bar.
