Market Activity Alert Templates


​Market Activity Alerts offer enhanced functionality, including the ability to save templates, use tags on both market activity templates and contacts to auto-create an alert, view all active alerts on a My Templates dashboard, and easily create new alerts.

To access Templates: Navigate to Email Alerts in the left navigation bar, then click Templates, and finally select Market Alert Templates.





What You Can Do

  • Create multiple market alert templates

  • Build templates from existing market alerts

  • Set up tag automation to apply templates to all contacts with matching tags (existing and new contacts)

What Gets Saved Location, polygon shape (with custom name), price range (min/max), Sqft, and alert schedule. Once an alert is created from a template, it becomes independent of the template. Any changes to the template will not affect the alert.




Step-By-Step Scenarios ​

How to assign a Market Alert Template to a Contact

  1. Click on the Market Activity Alert tab, then the Templates tab, from the drop-down menu.

  2. You will see a list of saved templates. Choose one and click on + Create Alert.

  3. Select your contact(s) from the drop-down menu. A pop-up will appear. Here, you can choose the contacts for which you want to receive the alert.

  4. Review the alert summary below and click on + Create # Market Alerts.
    A green pop-up will let you know the alert(s) have been created successfully.

How to mass apply a Market Alert Template from the Contacts tab​​

  1. Click on the Contacts tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Select the contacts to whom you want to send a Market Alert Template.

  3. Click on More Actions.

  4. Click on + Create Alerts from a Template.

    You'll see the total number of contacts you've selected.

  5. Next, you'll see a pop-up, click on Create Market Alerts

  6. Next, you can select a saved template from the drop-down menu.

  7. Next, click on +Create # Market Alerts. You'll also see the summary.

  8. Lastly, a green pop-up will let you know the alerts were successfully created.

How to assign the Market Alert Template from the Contact Profile (Email Alerts)

When viewing a contact's profile, click ADD MARKET ALERT to choose from your saved templates.


Follow these steps to create Market Activity Alerts for your contacts:

  1. Navigate to the Contact's Profile: Once on the contact's profile, you'll automatically be on the Email Alerts tab.

  2. Scroll to Market Activity Alerts: Click the + Add Market Activity Alert button.


  3. Create/assign the Market Activity Alert: Click on Use a Template to select a saved template from the drop-down menu.

  4. Finalize: Click + Create Market Alerts button. A green pop-up will appear when you've successfully saved the alert. You will also see the alert under the Market Activity Alerts section.

How to Add or Remove Tags from Market Alert Templates


Use Tags to create an alert for tagged contacts & matching tagged templates

You can now add tags to templates. When a contact and a template share a matching tag, a new alert will be automatically created for that contact using the template.

  1. Navigate to the Templates page by selecting Market Alert - Templates in the sidebar.

  2. On the Templates page, find the template you want to update. Click the action menu (three dots icon) on the far right side.

  3. Select Edit Tags (or delete)

  4. Add Tag or Remove Tag from the dropdown menu to manage your tags.

  5. Click DONE once complete.

  6. The system will search (hourly) for Contacts with the matching Tag added to their profiles to create an alert from Templates.


FAQs

Yes, you can save the template without assigning it to a contact.

No, Templates cannot be duplicated.


Q: Can agents edit market alert templates?
A: No, agents cannot edit market alert templates.
If an agent wants to change a template, they need to create a new one and delete the old one.


Q: If an agent makes changes to a template, will it change any alerts made from that template?
A: Currently, templates cannot be edited. Therefore, any alerts created from a template will not be changed or updated if the template is altered. To update an alert, a new one must be saved for the contact, either from a new template or by creating a new alert from scratch.



Q: How do I delete a template?

A: Quick step-by-step on deleting a Template:

  1. Click on the Market Activity Alert tab, then the Templates tab, from the drop-down menu.

  2. You will see a list of saved templates.

  3. Find the template you want to remove and click the three dots button on the right side.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. A pop-up will appear asking if you'd like to delete it.

  6. Click Delete Template to finalize.

Q: Do I need all of the Columns or Filters?

A: You will see different columns or filters in the Market Activity Alert section, and each view is up to you and how you'd like to customize it when viewing the tabs.

Q: For Tags, is the automation instant?
A: No, RealScout checks for matching tags once per hour and creates new alerts accordingly.


Q: For Tags, will all tags be used for matching?
A: Yes, all tags added to contacts, including those from RealScout and external systems like Follow Up Boss, will be used to find matches with templates.


Q: For Tags, are tags case-sensitive?
A: No, tags are case insensitive. For example, “cOoLTaG” will match “cooltag” or “COOLTAG”.
